New Frontiers for Better Health

Innovating Global Health Solutions

We are creating new opportunities to develop innovative solutions for global health care problems, including technologies and digital solutions such as wearable sensors for disease monitoring and other health applications. An array of initiatives promote collaboration, advanced analytics, interdisciplinary research and digital health solutions, ultimately improving global health outcomes and fostering innovation.

We are developing solutions for unsolved problems and unmet needs in health care and individual well-being by identifying enhanced uses for technologies developed by researchers at the university and collaborating partners that can be rapidly implemented in the clinical world. At the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Biostatistics, we are building a data-driven learning health system, advancing precision medicine analytics and translating big data science and genomic discoveries to clinical care. Our Sensor Lab connects researchers to technologies and digital solutions with health applications to advance novel human-centered hardware and software sensor systems and push forward the next generation of sensor-based investigation and discovery.
